You can’t run before you can jump

You can’t run before you can jump.

Claire came to us after surgery on her ankle ligament. For the first time in years, she can walk, jump and run pain free.

So why is jumping a prerequisite for running?

When you run, you absorb impactive force throughout the tissues in your ankles (ligaments, bone, cartilage etc)

Load or impact experienced when jumping accelerates the laydown of fresh tissue to make running more comfortable with a lower risk of injury.

So if you run, make sure you also practice jumping!
