How mindset can increase pain | Revitalize Osteopath, Elliott Reid, explains.

Have you ever felt better after a bit of distance and perspective? Pain can be the same. 

This is because pain is a deeply neurological opinion of danger and it hurts… but it’s an opinion nonetheless. The same damage (or absence of damage) can create many different experiences of sensations in the body. 

Being able to take a step back and assess can bring calmness, understanding and reduce suffering.

This can take practice and learning but is very effective. Here is an example exercise to reduce pain, here.
