Charmaine has a wealth of experience in treating all musculoskeletal problems and is interested in treating all areas of the body including spinal pain, neck pain, sports injuries and pre and post-operative rehabilitation. Charmaine’s passion and problem-solving approach for keeping people active makes her a dynamic and thorough clinician who will ensure that you are back to fitness as soon as possible. She is well experience in manipulative therapy, soft tissue mobilisation, acupuncture, shockwave therapy and taping.

Specialisation

Charmaine has extensive knowledge across a wide variety of areas including: sports rehabilitation, post-operative orthopaedic care, including ACL and joint replacement rehabilitation and is a qualified Women’s health physiotherapist.

She helps women suffering from chronic pelvic pain as well as pelvic floor problems affecting the bladder and bowels, and problems contributing to sexual dysfunction. She is qualified to help women with pelvic organ prolapse and to support women during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and menopause.

Other experience

Charmaine started her physio career at St Georges Hospital. She qualified as a rotational physiotherapist working on hospital wards but very quickly found her passion in Musculoskeletal. Charmaine has varied experience working in the NHS, within primary care and outpatient settings for 7 years. She has been working privately at our clinic for the last 5 years. In addition to this Charmaine has worked for Canterbury Rugby club where she wasresponsible for managing both acute and chronic sports injuries and providing pitch side physiotherapy
