Grow muscles with tiny weights | Blood Flow Restriction Training with Elliott Reid (M.Ost)

One issue we all have when we’re injured is that we shrink. We can’t challenge our muscles adequately due to pain or damage. This isn’t good for those of us who have worked hard to build muscle OR those of us who compete in sport.

Blood Flow Restriction training is easy to implement to challenge a muscle group with less weight (30% of max load) whilst getting the same benefit. Normally we would have to use 70% of our max load to grow a muscle group, but because BFR reduces the muscle’s ability to replenish its energy stores and stretches the muscle compartment, we get just as good a response with less weight.

I explain in this video. Check it out. Lift tiny weights and grow your muscles
