I think the UK may have forgotten our roots. The NHS was founded to treat serious conditions.
In the 1940s you were most likely to die from flu, fatal injury, lung disease (working induced), bacterial infection etc.
Today? It’s cancer, heart disease and stroke. These are all predisposed by poor lifestyle decisions more than anything else.
The NHS was not founded to help us after a lifetime of too many takeaways and unused gym memberships
The UK has just voted to leave the biggest market place on the planet. Combine this with an underfunded NHS, poorer health decisions and less money in your pocket and we have poorer health with no public or private money to fix it
The solution? Start taking responsibility and stop relying on the NHS for preventable diseases so that those who’s diseases are unpreventable can take full advantage
