What to do when your medication pain stops working

Is pain medication no longer effective? There is a reason.

Ineffective pain medication is really common after 3 months of pain, where the tissue has healed but pain is now produced by the brain. I explain in this week’s video.

In fact, ibuprofen is so ineffective at treating chronic back pain that it is no longer advised.

The best thing you can do when pain has lasted for longer than 3 months is to start empowering yourself.

This means:

  • Learning why you’re in pain and what your true capability is
  • Using hands on treatment to reduce your pain and increase comfort
  • Strengthening your body so pain is no longer needed as protection
