How to keep Mentally Well during Isolation, with Dr St Just

I am sure many of you will be feeling the stress of the current situation. Whether that is due to healthy, financial, social anxiety, Dr St Just has a message for you
  1. there will be changes that will naturally effect your levels of anxiety
  2. There are some things we can improve, and some things we can’t
  3. Let’s focus on what we can control
“What Can you Control?
Write a list of what you can and can’t control. Scrub off what you can’t control and focus on what you CAN control. For example we can’t change the weather but we can control our clothing! Or we can’t decide whether or not we’ll become ill; but we can take precautions!
We can’t control our thoughts but we can manage them
Don’t try to forcefully control your thoughts or feelings but try to manage how you react to them. Can you make contact over the phone with people who make you feel well? Can you take a deep breath and calm yourself after periods of stress?
Ultimately, yes this will be a stressful situation for many of us but we can control how we react to the current stressful situation.
Focus on how you control how you treat yourself and others and have a think about how you can take care of your own mental health “
