Let’s talk about low self esteem

The ancient Egyptians incorporated two important philosophical pillars into everyday life. One was the importance of “knowing thy self” and the other was the importance of libation ie people thinking or speaking well of you once you had passed.

So this idea of seeking health or esteem from within ourselves and within our communities is as old as humanity itself. We care what we think of ourselves and we also care what others think of us.

But this is a balancing act. Tilt too far one way and we’re rendered naive or arrogant. If we tilt too far the other way, we become very easily swayed by the crowds. Trish talks about how to find a balance right down the middle.
